It’s the flight of a lifetime. Be part of the crew- from inflation to lift off. Then gently rise above it all as you watch beautiful fields hedgerows and villages unfold beneath you. It’s a breathtaking and memorable introduction to the art of hot air ballooning. When you arrive at the launch site you will be welcomed by your pilot and given a detailed briefing. The balloon will be inflated and after final safety checks you’ll take off for an awe-inspiring experience. Once you’ve been flying for about an hour your pilot will gently return you to earth when the balloon will be packed away and you will be driven back to the launch site. Location: Choose one of 50 launch sites nationwide. Availability: April to October on selected days of the week. Duration: Between 2 and 4 hours in total with around 1 hour in the balloon depending on the weather. The flight usually takes place in the early morning or evening. Restrictions: Maximum weight is 107kg (17 stone) minimum height is 1.2m (4ft). You should be agile as embarking and disembarking are difficult and require flexibility. The flight is not suitable for those who are pregnant suffer from epilepsy or who have some heart or medical conditions. If in doubt please consult your doctor. Age restrictions: The minimum age for this experience is 12-14 years but this may vary according to the location. In some locations those under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
