Adopting the scattershot approach of the likes of Airplane and Naked Gun and raising the gross-out stakes considerably Scary Movie - like all such breathless spoofs - doesn't always work with quite a few of the jokes falling flat or being over used. However when it is funny it is very funny indeed - gleefully tearing apart the teen horror movie clichés and mercilessly parodying scenes from the likes of I Know What You Did Last Summer The Blair Witch Project and Scream itself which confusingly was a parody itself. The cast includes the likes of Carmen Electra Shannon Elizabeth and Marlon and Shawn Wayans the list of writers (and producers) is almost as long as it's original title (the result of two spoofs in development being combined into one).
