KEEPING THE FAITH - (DVD) Clerical comedy in which a pair of friends - one a priest one a rabbi fall - sort of - for the same woman. Ed Norton and Ben Stiller star while Jenna Elfman plays the woman who comes between them. An old fashioned but very likable romantic comedy which could have been made in the forties with - say - Cary Grant and James Stewart. A romantic triangle with an inter-faith spin Keeping The Faith represents Ed Norton's directorial debut and very enjoyable it is too. This is comedy of a talky nature. Three intelligent characters wonder around nicely shot locations (in this case New York) and - well - talk. Of course the fact they're all witty and attractive helps a great deal. Stiller and Norton make fine leads while Elfman pretty much reprises her role from Dahma & Gregg. Norton's direction is solid and while there's nothing really new going on here there's a lot to enjoy notably supporting performances from Eli Wallach Milos Forman and Ann Bancroft.
