Annie Hall - (DVD) Classic Woody Allen romantic comedy in which the neurotic New Yorker analyses his relationship with Annie (Diane Keaton). Using a host of film-making tricks: taking his characters into their own flashbacks adding subtitles of what they are really thinking creating a phantom "extra" Annie and even switching to a cartoon Annie Hall is probably Woody Allen's best known certainly best loved film. Telling the story of comedian Alvy Singer's relationship with the titular Annie Allen explores the relationship from the moment they first meet to their break-up and subsequent friendship. It's optimistic romantic and very funny swollen with Allen's customary wit (for example Alvy on Los Angeles: "I don't want to move to a city where the only cultural advantage is being able to make a right turn on a red light.") The film is peppered with cameo appearances too. Shelly Duval Christopher Walken and Paul Simon make appearances and yes that is the young Jeff Goldblum on the phone during the party scene ("I forgot my mantra"). Overall Annie Hall remains a classic example of romantic comedy at its very best. Honest perceptive and howlingly funny. ... But the expedition has unlocked a larger mystery about the origins of the Linyaari people - one that has led Aari Acorna's lifemate into a dangerous journey through time and space. ... Cat and Mouse Killer Gary Soneji is back filled with hatred and gaining revenge on detective Alex Cross. Nothing not even death itself is going to stand in his way. ... Clinical Nursing Practices Guidelines for Evidence-based Practice This well-known text provides clear guidance on 54 nursing practices and procedures arranged in alphabetical order for ease of reference. Each procedure contains rationale and information on patient education in addition to step-by-step guidance. This edition has a section on reflective practice for each procedure increased patient education sections and a wider range of procedures including advanced practices. The rationale for practices are linked explicitly to evidence-based practice accountability and risk management. Increased illustrations and a second colour add to the clarity and ease of use for the reader. ... Morality for Beautiful Girls Continuing the adventures of Precious Ramotswe the sassy owner of Botswana's only detective agency. This novel sees her expanding her business to take in the world of car repair and a beauty pageant. ... DINOSAUR (DISNEY) - (DVD) Computer-animated Disney adventure. After his egg hatches in a strange environment a young dinosaur grows up in alien surroundings "adopted" by a family of lemurs. When a meteor shower strikes the earth he must join a group of other dinosaurs to travel to the comparative safety of the "nesting grounds". The opening scenes of Disney's Dinosaur demand the biggest television you can get your hands on (illegal activities not withstanding - of course). An utterly jaw-dropping sequence in which a dinosaur egg is stolen from a nest and through a series of events taken on an extraordinary journey rendered in glorious computer-generated images across a prehistoric landscape. It's a breath-taking example of purely visual storytelling. Unfortunately once the egg has landed and the (implausibly cute) dinosaur emerges the creatures around it open their mouths and talk and you suddenly realise you're watching a Disney movie. It's a shame but not a crippling one. This is closer to The Lion King than Walking With Dinosaurs or Jurassic Park the nice dinos are big-eyed and cute have all-American accents and are essentially heroic beasties who must band together to defeat the unscrupulous bad-guys and save the day (before becoming extinct - naturally). As far as the computer-generated dinosaurs (placed in actual locations) go this looks very nice indeed although its probably the only time in which Disney's thunder has been stolen by the BBC. Of course if you're looking for a Disney adventure that the family should enjoy you really can't go wrong with this. Although a touch more violent that one would usually expect from the House of Mouse (Dinosaurs tending to eat each other etc.) it retains the usual charms which distinguish most Disney output. Besides it's worth seeing for the opening sequence alone. DVD Version Widescreen: 1.85:1 Stereo: Dolby Digital 5.1 (English Hebrew Greek) Subtitles: English/English for the hard of hearing/Hebrew/Greek Special Features Created directly from the digital source 'Behind The Scenes' features plus production notes Interactive virtual reality game - Aladar's Adventures 'Dino-Search' game 'Dino-pedia' fact files Animated menus ...
